This Isn't What I Believe

Posted on September 22, 2010

I believe that we are at an inflection point for our NBA franchise. We are all in alignment and we are all moving forward. We are excited. Our focus is about being into a rebuild and creating something new and promising and crafted from a new set of experiences. Together. We won't look back. We can't look back. We are all facing in the same direction. Forward. We have been working very hard and with passion and commitment to build a new team and a new set of services that our fans will embrace and fall in love with. We are into the "we"; we are not about the "I." What is done is done. What is past is past. We have owned the team outright for about 100 days. We have been working on and will soon go public with our list of the 101 things we have done that move us into the future - together. We shouldn't talk about our previous season anymore. We will pay homage to our tradition but we must think about our first game, then our second game and so on. THIS SEASON - that is what sports is all about. That is what I believe. I can't get dragged into could haves and would haves and the past. I must think about our fans; our franchise; and my promises to everyone. We need to build together a promising future. We need to craft a team that is capable of winning an NBA championship. We need to replicate the feeling and memories in DC from 1978 and the last ring that was won by the franchise for the fan base. We are only looking one way - forward. We hope to bring you all along with us!

He is looking good and is very upbeat and positive. I appreciate that and I believe he will make a big contribution to the team this season. Here is a really thorough analysis of Josh and his body of work. Speaking of bodies of work, I will say it again: Kevin Seraphin. Now that is a big body -
