More on Home and Away
Posted on May 02, 2012In the regular season - we didn't fare very well on the road. Our fans were all over the team as were the media. How could we qualify for the playoffs with such a poor record on the road? And if we did qualify for the playoffs as a low seed - how would we move on to a next round if we can’t win on the road? But at home - we were one of the best teams in the NHL. The fans rock the red; the building is loud and proud. Go Caps! Yet - in these playoffs - the road team seems to have the upper hand. See this article today and my blog post of yesterday. We must reverse this trend. We must play conservative and honest playoff hockey; tonight at home. A pivotal game 3 - I look forward to the comforts of Verizon Center and being amongst all of you; BUT - I hope we play at home like we play on the road; I can’t believe I am even typing that comment! How things change in the playoffs vs. the regular season?
