Sleeping in a Parking Lot
Posted on November 19, 2012I’ve always been proud that every member of the Monumental Sports & Entertainment ownership group was local and committed to giving back to our community. Philanthropy is a hallmark of those in our partnership, and Michelle Freeman recently demonstrated that in a unique fashion by joining a group of executives who decided to forego a comfortable bed and slept outside in Southeast Washington to raise money and awareness for homeless youth services. Wow – that’s more of a commitment than simply writing a check. Congratulations to Michelle and the others who participated in this great cause. Thanks to Covenant House for all of its efforts and The Washington Post for covering this story and shedding additional light on an ongoing D.C. challenge.
