Character Levels Are High On This Team

And that is a very good foundation. We need to continue to add skill to the lineup - and we will; we need to get all of our players back healthy - and we will. I am proud of the way the team handled all of the negativity and the pixels thrown their way; it was a very tough onslaught - but the players and coaches remained steadfast and positive and upbeat.  Trust me - I have been around winning streaks and losing streaks - when a team is down - the worst aspects of human character can be on display; and this didn't happen with this team. No finger pointing; no back channeling, no whispers; no checking out.  Now - the team must play hard and as a unit the remainder of this season; with a focus on developing chemistry - and gaining ground in the standings. The hole is deep - but there are many, many games left to play.  The Caps once went on a 14 game non losing streak I think to make the playoffs not too long ago. The Capitals have had many long winning or undefeated streaks since I owned the team; winning streaks do not generate pixels and articles and tweets the way losing streaks do - that is for sure.  The Caps were the worst team in the league earlier in a season - they had a bad losing streak; things turned around with a winning streak. It can happen. I remind folks all of the time to remain upbeat and just play the game.  It is never too late to rally and play hard. The players must find motivation and remain positive. That is the plan. Thank you for your support.
