Past Midnight

Posted on January 17, 2013

A tough game to watch as we lose by one point – 95 to 94.

While all of the attention will be on two missed free throws,  the game was lost collectively  with about three minutes in as we stopped running and playing aggressively as a team and really just tried to end the game by playing it slow and steady. We had too many turnovers, missed close-in shots, and didn’t go to the basket hard enough to draw fouls.

We played very well throughout the night and it is disappointing to see our win streak come to an end in this fashion. On the road, you must end games strong. We were up by 11 points at one time, and we simply let the Kings back into the game, at a time when we could regain momentum.

No rest for the weary – we play in Denver on Friday night. The game ended past midnight last night. Thank you for watching and for blogging about the game. Here are some links. Click herehere and here.

CSN on Dropping the Puck

January 17, 2013

Here is a snapshot of an interview I did with CSN last night – I did a WTOP interview this morning. It feels wonderful to be able to talk again to fans and to our friends in the media. I look forward to seeing everyone tonight at 6pm at Verizon Center. Free food and soda will be served. Come watch the practice and meet our fans and have some fun. Stay dry and see the ice indoors. Thanks and Go Caps!
