For Wizards, Some Goals Being Met

Posted on March 17, 2013 by Ted Leonsis

Since John Wall returned to the lineup, we are playing at a playoff qualifying pace and playing at a better than 500 record. As noted, this is where we wanted to be in this stage of our rebuild in year three. This is where we believed we would be in the rebuild - at a playoff qualifying pace - and being a tough team to play at home, with a five-game winning streak at this moment in time.

We now have a winning record at home and are over 500. We have finally passed eight teams in the NBA in regards to winning percentage after an incredibly tough start to the season.

I am pleasantly surprised that we have become one of the best three-point shooting teams in the NBA. Led by a great off-season signing in Martell Webster, who had a big night last night with 34 points. Bradley Beal is also a very good three-point shooter, and he returned to the lineup last night after missing six games, and scored 13 points.

Trevor Ariza also has emerged as a good three-point shooter as well for us as well as a very good defender. He didn't play last night as he experienced soreness in his leg again. AJ Price remains on IR and Chris Singleton was excused to attend a funeral.

We placed six players with double-doubles last night, so a terrific team effort. Okafor continues his very dependable play as does Nene.

Wish us well during the home stretch of the season, and wish us good health. We now embark on a long road trip. Words and videos from around the web follow. Click here, here, here, here, and here.
