Wizards Practice

Posted on October 02, 2013 by Ted Leonsis

I attended a Wizards practice yesterday at George Mason University - it was spirited and focused and the players worked hard to internalize the staff's system teachings, and to implement a strong defensive game and an up tempo running offense.

Our strength looks to be in the back court with John Wall and Bradley Beal looking in mid-season form. Bradley Beal and John Wall both looked like they have grown, and they are both looking really strong and fit. And it was great to see  Nene looking quite mobile and fast off the dribble. He was in a great mood.

Of course - it wasn't much fun seeing Ariza, Booker, Porter and Singleton off on the sidelines not able to practice and knowing that Okafor is away rehabbing his injury. Read this one here and here.

The team is upbeat, and expects many of its teammates back to the lineup as time progresses toward tip-off of a new season.

We move back to practice at Verizon Center on Thursday with an open practice on Friday. Many articles about the team; aspirations, injuries and the like here and here and here.
