That is where the Wizards sit as to record - a winning record - for the regular season.
We have hit a few modest and positive goals now along the way so far: qualifying for the playoffs and finishing the regular season with a winning record.
Bigger picture positive outcomes so far have been the emergence of John Wall as an All Star, his re-signing for the long term with the Wizards, and the development of Bradley Beal, who is 20 years old and scored 26 points last night. And that we start three players on their rookie contracts, with the recent and positive emergence of aggressive play by Trevor Booker, as well.
Most of all, I believe the biggest change has been in the culture; the high level of professionalism is palpable in our locker room. Adding the right vets and the focus of our coaching staff on playing the right way has been a very good step forward for our franchise this regular season.
We next play at
home tomorrow night against Miami, and we finish the season on Wednesday in Boston. Then
we await our seeding and playoff opponent. We most likely will start playoff
games next weekend, on the road. If the season ended today, we would play the Chicago Bulls. Stay tuned for more information.
See you all Monday night - and see here for more on last night's win.Posted in: Sports
