A Positive WeekPosted on February 09, 2013 by Ted Leonsis
Three games, three
quality wins in a row over three playoff teams, the Clippers; the Knicks and
This kind of streak,
that has seen the Wizards go 10 and 7 and play at a playoff qualifying
pace during that stretch, has made many people smile and be positive. The team
is appreciative of the positive pixels. It may seem "perplexing and
cute" to some pundits, but it is what the franchise expected and what the
players are earning through their hard work and dedication.
That feels good. Last
night's game against the Nets was another positive step forward. We had a 20 point
lead. The Nets made a run, the lead was hovering around 10 points, and then the
team was able to step back on the gas and cruise to an easy win.
Close losses, which there
were many when the team was hobbled by injury, are now turning into comfortable
winning margin games for the team. All three games this week were won by
10 points or so.
The team is playing with
confidence and many players are contributing in many different ways.
