If Only the Game Were 38 Minutes Long

Posted on January 30, 2013 by Ted Leonsis

The Caps looked like a very aggressive and productive team going up 2 to 0.The team was really dominant for this stretch of time.

Then we did a few things a team should never do – we allowed a late goal at the end of the second period to cut the lead in half, and build some momentum for the other side. They had hope.

And then in a tied game, we took a penalty really late in the game, and with the team's penalty kill struggling. A two point game morphed into a one point game, which turned into a no point game and a road loss.

Here are pixels about the game and the team from around the web - click here, here and here. The season is more than 10% completed, and we haven’t found consistent winning ways yet which is frustrating for us all. Onward to Thursday night's game against the Maple Leafs in Toronto.
